This student production was created within the Performance Group, a selective ensemble of talented young performers from CLP Studio – the educational program of Cirk La Putyka led by Daniel Komarov. CLP Studio offers long-term circus training for students from the age of three, and Performance Group is a next step on their journey toward independent creation.
Hemžení returns – bolder, brighter, and buzzing with new life.
As the title suggests, we’re revisiting the world of insects – a realm that continues to fascinate. With a new generation of performers comes fresh energy, imagination, and a wider creative scope.
In this loose adaptation of the Čapek brothers’ classic, the insect kingdom becomes a mirror of our own. Through acrobatics, dance, and live music, the young artists invite you into the cycle of life – from birth to transformation – where the tiny stories of small heroes interlace in one great swarm.
This performance explores the rhythm and chaos of nature. Everything that rustles, crawls, flies, and never stops – brought to life by what speaks to the artists most instinctively: movement.
CLP Studio is the educational platform of Cirk La Putyka, led by Daniel Komarov and a team of experienced coaches and performers. It provides long-term development in contemporary circus for children, teenagers, and young adults – from their first somersaults to their first original performances.
Within the Studio, the Performance Group has emerged – a selection of students who move beyond training into creation. They explore what it means to be a professional artist by engaging with all elements of stagecraft: scenography, costume design, rigging, lighting, live music, and sound. Bit by bit, they begin to shape their own artistic voice.
CLP Studio is a place where discipline meets imagination. Where learning becomes creating. And where a small acrobat can grow into an author.
